SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The support level designed for intervention activities a substantial SRD influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
